Gone, but Never Forgotten ....

"Barlow"

My First Champion

CH Blue Ridge Lord MacDuff Zink

9-12-1996 / 7-16-2007

We lost Barlow this morning

As most of you know, he was diagnosed four months ago with Lymphoma.

These past four months have truly been a gift. For 3 of the months, he was doing very well.

I did have to take him to the vets, where Liz and I were with him to the end.  He is peaceful.  And it was his time.

He will be buried by St. Francis.  There is no other special place this Champion will be.

He was my first show dog, my first Champion, my first litters sire.  He was my Barlow.

I did manage to tell him to say hi to my Mom and Dad when he saw them.

"The Last of the Good Dogs"

A Tribute to Gus

He wasn't a Champion, but he had such pride and elegance, you wouldn't have known any different.

That just made him more appealing with his outstanding, warm personality.

He was the rock, always in control, always managing the young ones.

A happy boy for food, a pet, a hug, or a run with the boomer ball.

He lived a life of just a really good, sweet dog.

We lost Gus tonight (4-23-2006). I was able to hold him quite a while on the deck.

He passed away in my arms, knowing he was loved, and would be missed.

We buried him by St. Francis.

I am sure if there is a dog heaven, he is there.

We loved him so.
